First Trailer For Horror Thriller The Pyramid

There are many scary legends about the curses that may befell adventurers who dare disturb the slumber of the Egyptian Pharaohs by poking around in their tombs. But that doesn’t seem to deflect those who think they’re doing archaeology or history a favour by cracking open pyramids and exploring within. And that is exactly where the team in The Pyramid gets into trouble in the first trailer for the horror thriller.

Denis O’Hare is Holden, the leader of a team daring to delve deep within a new, three-sided pyramid discovered beneath the Egyptian desert. Naturally, the brave boffin has heard the stories, but he and his assorted tomb raiders are going in anyway. And what do they find? Well, you can probably guess that, but it doesn’t involve them being showered in glory at a fancy party to celebrate their findings. And honestly? We have little sympathy for people who don’t listen to ancient warnings, because those are usually the most important warnings.

Regular Alexandre Aja collaborator Gregory Levasseur steps up to call the shots this time, with Aja providing backing as a producer. The script comes from Daniel Meersand and Nick Simon, while Ashley Hinshaw, The Inbetweeners’ James Buckley, Amir K and Christa-Marie Nicola fill out the main cast. It’ll get dust all over our cinemas starting December 5.
