First Look At The Making Of Rush

Anyone who follows director Ron Howard on Twitter knows he’s been busy recently bringing the story of the 1970s F1 rivalry between James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Nikki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) to life as Rush. Now, thanks to a short piece on the BBC, we’re getting our first proper look at the movie, with Howard and his cast and crew talking up the project. Have a gander below.

There’s not a lot of actual footage in the piece, but with Howard just getting off the grid on post-production for the film, that’s hardly surprising. We do get a brief glimpse of Hemsworth as Hunt, but it’s more a quick interview than him actually playing the man.

From the looks of this, Howard and co have gone to great pains to recreate the look and feel of the circuits, crowds and atmosphere at the time, though of course, we’ll have to wait for the trailers and the movie itself to get a proper look.

With a script by Peter Morgan, Rush features Hemsworth and Bruhl alongside Natalie Dormer, Olivia Wilde and Alexandra Maria Lara. It's** **set to hit our screens next year, but there’s no firm date yet.
