Though the announcement was only made earlier this month, the dedicated troops of Walmington-on-Sea’s Home Guard have assembled in costume for a first-look Dad's Army picture duo faster than you can say “fall in!”

Oliver Parker is directing the remake of the classic Jimmy Perry/David Croft sitcom, which features a wide array of big British talent including Toby Jones (as Captain George Mainwaring), Bill Nighy (as Sergeant Arthur Wilson), Michael Gambon (as Private Godfrey), Tom Courtenay (as Corporal Jones), Bill Paterson (as Private Frazer), Daniel Mays, (as Private Walker) and Blake Harrison (as Private Pike). The cast also includes the likes of Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman and Mark Gatiss.

With shooting underway in Yorkshire, the film will see the Home Guard welcoming journalist Rose Winters (Catherine Zeta-Jones) arriving to write about the area at the same time that MI5 brings word that there’s a spy on the loose.
