Consumer convention E3 might not be the first place you’d expect Sony to use as a launching ground for the first footage from its new World War II tank thriller Fury. But with a tank game to promote, there's no better way than to parachute in a mix of trailer material and behind-the-scenes glimpses of David Ayer’s latest, which features Brad Pitt as the commander of a hulking war machine.

Pitt stars as an Army sergeant nicknamed Wardaddy, leading a five-man beast of a vehicle fighting through Germany as the Nazi regime collapses in 1945. Despite its leadership crumbling, the Wehrmacht continues to be a big threat, and the crew of the tank face serious challenges.

We’re promised a very honest look at this particular, tight-knit tank unit, which also includes Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal. Outmanned and outgunned behind enemy lines, the pressure on this makeshift family is intense.

Hopefully we’ll see a trailer soon, and** Fury** itself trundles into the UK on October 24.
