While Fast & Furious 7 was only able to make limited use of Dwayne Johnson, **San Andreas **promises a full-on Rocksplosion, with the man-mountain taking on the biggest earthquake ever seen in California and beyond... and Roland Emmerich isn’t to blame this time. Here’s the latest promo for the film.
The movie finds The Rock as Ray Gaines, a talented Los Angeles Fire Department rescue pilot who has just packed daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario) off to San Francisco when the Big One, a bloomin’ massive earthquake hits California and, if Paul Giamatti’s expert is to be believed, will be felt all across the US of A.
With a whole lot of shaking going on and his spawn in danger, Ray must team up with his ex-wife Emma (Johnson’s Race To Witch Mountain co-star Carla Gugino) and try to find a way to track down their daughter. But the situation may be even worse than he suspects... Yes, the state's protein shake and pizza supply chain has been hugely affected. Oh, and his family's future might be under real threat. This new trailer – probably the last one before the movie actually arrives – digs in a little more deeply to Ray’s fractured family dynamic... At least before the getting back to the disasterthon.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’s Brad Peyton is marshalling the chaos for this one and San Andreas will be out here on May 28.
