Was your day feeling a little slow and tranquil? Well, not any more, because Fast & Furious 6 premiered last night in London, and we bring you the full report below, one quarter-mile at a time. OK, all at once then.

The film - which interestingly is called Furious 6 onscreen - sees The Rock's Luke Hobbs recruit Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and company to take out an even more dangerous gang of thieves, led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). What's in it for Toretto? Well, aside from pardons all around, there's the chance to find out what supposedly-dead flame Lettie (Michelle Rodriguez) is doing walking around alive and well.

Leicester Square last night saw stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Elsa Pataky, Sung Kang, Luke Evans, Gal Gadot, Gina Carano and Jordana Brewster all in attendance, along with director Justin Lin. A London premiere seemed particularly appropriate in this case, since much of the film's action takes place here, with the crew racing around the streets of the capital with narry a nod to the congestion charge, the bounders!

Furious 6 leaps spectacularly (we assume) into UK cinemas on May 17, and reaches the US on May 24. Presumably speed restrictions apply there.
