Shooting for Penelope, about a girl cursed with a pig face, is well underway in London, and we have some exclusive snaps of star Christina Ricci, Richard E. Grant, Catherine O’Hara and producer and co-star (and recent Oscar winner, lest we forget) Reese Witherspoon.
The film tells the story of the titular Penelope, a girl suffering under a family curse that gives her a pig-face, who finally decides to go out into the world and try to end her lifelong streak of bad luck and find true love. You get a quick chance to see the pig-face effects here, turning the normally doll-like features of Ms Ricci into a rather more porcine figure.
The film is due out later this year. We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more.
