David Fincher knows a thing or two about the thriller genre. Twelve years ago the perpetual rain, darkened rooms and gruesome twists of Se7en, scared the hell out of audiences across the globe, whilst his later outings (Fight Club, Panic Room) have done little to diminish his status as one of the master’s of suspense-filled cinema.
At the end of April, Fincher will return to the bloody realm of the serial killer, when his new movie, Zodiac, hits UK screens. With a cast led by Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr., the film centres on the investigation surrounding a random killing spree that took place in San Francisco during the late sixties. The initial reactions from across the pond have been overwhelmingly positive, so with over a month to go until the movie’s UK release, it’s a good job Empire can exclusively reveal the brand new, very dark Zodiac trailer.
