A new trailer for the highly-anticipated, Dracula-inspired Stoker has arrived online and you can watch it exclusively here on EmpireOnline.com.

brightcove.createExperiences();The English-language debut of Oldboy director Park Chan-wook, Stoker is a kinda vampire movie that writer Wentworth Miller says isn't really a vampire movie – rather, it's a horror/family drama/psychological thriller.

Whatever genre fans want to call it, Stoker is an exciting prospect, boasting Mia Wasikowska (as the young India Stoker), Nicole Kidman (as her mother, Evelyn Stoker) and Matthew Goode (as her Uncle Charlie who suddenly comes to say after her dad dies in a car accident).

Like Hitchcock's Shadow Of A Doubt – which screenwriter Miller cites as a clear influence – it's a tale of an unexpected stranger in the family returning home and the resulting fallout of his actions. And from the looks of the trailer, his actions (and India's) have some seriously bloody consequences.

Incidentally, this Wentworth Miller is the same Wentworth Miller who plays Michael Scofield in Prison Break, making him a true renaissance man: a human being who can escape jails and write films. Not enough of them around, frankly.

Stoker is set to hit cinemas on March 1, 2013, so write that down in your diaries... now.
