New Aussie horror **The Babadook **will be arriving in our cinemas on October 24, riding a wave of universal acclaim and wrecked nerves. Ahead of Jennifer Kent's film, we have a new UK poster for the film - check it out below. if you daaarrrrre. (You should; it's rather stylish).

The film stars Essie Davis as Amelia, a widow whose husband died six years before, leaving her to struggle with her difficult 6 year-old son Samuel (Noah Wiseman). Samuel's behaviour is at least partly down to the sinister monster he believes is coming to kill them both, who appears in his dreams. When a disturbing storybook called The Babadook turns up at their house, Samuel becomes convinced that the Babadook is the creature he’s been dreaming about, and his hallucinations spiral out of control. But then Amelia begins to see glimpses of a sinister presence all around her, and begins to wonder if the thing Samuel has been warning her about may be real.

In other words, it's going to be spooky. We loved this one, so look out for The Babadook on October 24 at a horror-house near you.
