Live - (5500 Miles Away) From The Red Carpet

Empire's Oscars Arrivals Blog

Hello folks - I'm Chris Hewitt, and welcome to Empire's coverage of the (quickly Googles) 87th Academy Awards. You might better know them, of course, as The Oscars. Or the Ossies, as absolutely nobody calls them.

It's going to be a glitzy and, let's face it, extraordinarily long night of earnest speeches, terrible musical numbers, and roughly 837 versions of the hot button question, 'who/what/why are you wearing?'. Which is what this part of our live blog will concern - the arrivals, as the great and good of Hollywood - and their plus ones - will line up on the red carpet, wave at the plebs and then subject themselves to a furious, no-holds-barred Seacresting.

After we're done with that, we'll have a separate section dedicated to the show itself, hosted this year by Neil Patrick Harris.

Sitting comfortably? Then we can begin. Word to the wise: I've already been up for sixteen hours, so let the incoherent drooling begin. If you have anything to say to us, email me at chris@empiremagazine.com or tweet us: @empiremagazine and I may - may - use the best ones in this blog.
