Drew Barrymore has signed on to star alongside her He's Just Not That Into You co-star Justin Long in the romantic comedy, Going The Distance. Which, hopefully, will be more exciting and entertaining than our opening sentence.
The movie, written by Geoff LaTulippe, concerns a couple trying to maintain a long-distance relationship (always tricky, eh, folks?). Barrymore plays a woman who moves to Chicago to be a teacher, leaving her script reader boyfriend (Long) behind. Cue hilarity mixed with heartache and a healthy dollop of phone sex. Probably.
Nanette Burstein is directing the New Line comedy.
