20th Century Fox has made the decision to shift the release of Dragonball to 2009, to avoid a crowded slate that would put it up against Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Tropic Thunder, among others. The film will now be released in the US on April 3, 2009. No UK release date is confirmed.

Dragonball is based on the manga series about an alien who is sent to Earth to destroy humans, but has an attack of conscience and decides to join them in their fight against other intergalactic bad guys. James Wong serves as writer and director and the cast includes Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson (Ernie freakin' Hudson! Woohoo!)
