DiCaprio & Winslet On Revolutionary Road

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet haven’t starred together since Titanic, but that’s about to change, thanks to Winslet’s hubby and British dead-set legend director Sam Mendes. He’s brought the onscreen couple back together for his next film Revolutionary Road.

It’s an adaptation of Richard Yates’ novel, written at the beginning of the ‘60s, about a suburban couple who are seemingly living the dream – house, kids, etc. – but who are merely gfoing through the motions, and are each desperately unhappy underneath, but are repressed by that famous ‘50s post-war pressure to ‘be normal’ (along similar lines to Far From Heaven, then).

Shooting will start this summer, with Mendes working from a script written by Justin Haythe, who last wrote The Clearing (Robert Redford, Helen Mirren, Willem Dafoe) in 2004.
