If you’re a regular reader of Empire, you’ll no doubt be aware of the Hot Fuzztival, the ICA’s two-week showcase of cop/action films, curated by Hot Fuzz director/co-writer/good egg, Edgar Wright. But we’ve just had it confirmed by a very knowledgeable source (ok, Edgar himself) that he’ll be introducing – IN PERSON! LIVE TONIGHT! – the following flicks:

On Saturday Feb 3, the existential motorcycle cop film, Electra Glide In Blue (at 3pm) and Tony Scott’s Man On Fire (at 8.15pm). Sunday Feb 4, as you can no doubt tell from the competition currently running on our homepage, sees the Wright-introduced screening of another Scott action classic, True Romance, followed by a Q&A with Scott himself… with Edgar posing the questions! That all kicks off at 3pm, so you can be back nice and early for a Sunday night watching The Last Boy Scout.

Monday (Feb 5, 8.30pm) will see Edgar stand in front of a screen and talk for a bit about John Woo’s ace Hard Boiled, while Tuesday (Feb 6) should see him natter on about Dirty Harry’s farting dog, Meathead, before the screening of Sudden Impact (again, 8.30pm).

Friday Feb 9 gives us the Fuzzy Danny Butterman double bill of Point Break and Bad Boys II, kicking off (and we mean kicking off) from 8pm, while Wright will grace us with his presence for the final time before the screening of John Wayne’s cop thriller, Brannigan, on Saturday 10th Feb, at 3pm.

JUST ADDED:

Thanks to those lovely bods at the ICA, we now have two pairs of tickets to give away to Empire readers for the following Edgar-related screenings: Monday's Hard Boiled, Tuesday's Sudden Impact, the Danny Butterman Double Bill, and next Saturday's Brannigan.

To stand a chance of winning a pair of tickets, simply email us at empire@emap.com with the name of the screening you'd like to attend in the subject field. Don't forget to include your full details, including name and daytime contact number. Obviously, this competition is open to everybody, but it's probably best for London residents, as we WON'T be paying for transport!

Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, but there's only one pair available per reader, so you can't go hogging them all!
