It might have made its first appearance online thanks to some shady uploaders following its Comic-Con debut, but here comes the first proper, official trailer for Deadpool, which features all the sweary, violent, NSFW nonsense you could want from the Merc With A Mouth.
You probably don’t need us to explain the basics again, but we’re going to anyway, because someone put their hand up at the back and looks puzzled. Ryan Reynolds is on full quip form as Wade Wilson, a former Special Forces operative who discovers he has cancer in some pretty vital places. After being offered a chance to live (and become something better, if not better behaved), he undergoes a rogue experimental procedure that leaves him horrifically scarred but with Wolverine-style accelerated healing powers.
Armed with his new abilities and the twisted sense of humour he already possessed, he starts to take out the bad guys while hunting down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
With the likes of Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand in the cast, and a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool was directed by Tim Miller. It’ll land in the UK on February 4. Don't say you weren't warned.
