Not content with bending our brainboxes with his twisty cinematic masterpieces, spreading the gospel of Transcendental Meditation and providing up-to-the-minute weather reports on Twitter, the mighty David Lynch is winning at music too. He's recorded his first studio album, Crazy Clown Town, and really rather good it is too.
Names like Captain Beefheart, Aphex Twin and a Shoreditch worth of electro-poppers have been dropped as reference points, but as you'd expect from Lynch, this is all its own thing: surprisingly poppy at times; deliriously weird at others.
Crazy Clown Town is a 14-track long player that you'll be able to buy in shops (remember them?) and online on November 7. But frankly, why wait?
