Following a reveal of Jared Leto’s Joker – or at least one version of what he’ll look like – David Ayer has hit the Interwebs again with the first image of most of the Suicide Squad cast in costume, including Will Smith and Margot Robbie.
Smith, with a shaved head, is playing Deadshot in the movie, while Robbie will be Harley Quinn. Also present in this shot posing in front of a Belle Reve Penitentiary wall are Adam Beach (Slipknot), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc) and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo. Not present? Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, the woman who rounds up the villains to take part in dangerous missions in exchange for reduced sentences, Ike Barinholtz (reportedly playing Hugo Strange), Jim Parrack (Deathstroke) and Scott Eastwood (potentially Steve Trevor). Ayer also posted a look at Smith's Deadshot in his full costume.
The pictures are generating as many mixed reactions as the Leto image, and it’s interesting that he’s not among the group here. Ayer started the cameras rolling on April 13 in Toronto and there are rumoured cameos from Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor. The film will be out on August 5, 2016.
