We've previously given you a look at some concept art from the sequel to 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service, known to the world as Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and there has been a plethora of posters. Now, via Entertainment Weekly comes a selection of new images featuring the likes of Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Jeff Bridges.

Co-writer/director Matthew Vaughn spoke to the magazine about the follow-up, which he's hoping will avoid some of the usual pitfalls for second movies. “Just doing a sequel, you’re kind of violating that promise of originality,” the director says. “Sequelitis is a plague I have no interest in contracting."

The new film sees Taron Egerton's Gary "Eggsy" Unwin finding his feet as a fully fledged member of the secret agent service introduced in the original. But a new threat from a powerful mogul (Julianne Moore's Poppy) will see him needing to team up with his organisation's American equivalent, the Statesmen, which includes Tatum and Berry and is led by Bridges.

"If the first Kingsman was Captain America," Egerton tells EW, "then this is very much The Avengers now." And like his character, Egerton has come on in leaps and bounds since Kingsman which represented his first time on a film set. "For the first one, I felt like if I wasn’t really good then it wouldn’t work. This time, the story still unfolds through my eyes but this is still a true ensemble piece. And also, I’ve had a bit more experience. I’m not asking the crew what every piece of camera equipment does."

With Mark Strong back as Merlin and (spoiler alert!) the seeming impossible return of Colin Firth's Harry Hart, the cast also includes Pedro Pascal and Elton John playing a version of himself.
