Well, there have been very loud whispers on the internet about his joining Indiana Jones 4 and finally this morning news came through that Indy's fourth outing has an extra cast member and yes it's Shia La...wait, what? It's not? Hold on a cotton picking minute, it's only that bleedin' Cate Blanchett!
Blanchett has been cast in an unspecified role in the new movie, which will begin shooting in June, from a script by David Koepp and under the directorial eye of newcomer Steven Spielberg, of whom we expect great things.
Before she appears alongside cinema's favourite whip-cracker, Blanchett will be seen in Elizabeth follow-up The Golden Age, reverse-ageing romance The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (itself once a Spielberg project) and Wes Anderson's take on Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox. Which all sound pretty fricking great, so yay for Cate Blanchett.
