Carnage Trailer Arrives

After the more intense dramatic thriller theatrics of The Ghost, Roman Polanski appears to have lightened up a little for his next project, an adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s play God of Carnage. The cinematic version is simply titled Carnage and the first trailer is online via Twitch. Take a look below.

Carnage follows what happens between two well-to-do couples (Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly) when their kids are involved in a scuffle at school. Turns out the incident is just the fuel that the two pairs need to start exploring and bringing up all sorts of issues within their relationships.

But given the play’s more comedic nature, it’s less an overwrought analysis of modern marriage and more a comedy of errors and manners. From the looks of this, Winslet will be a standout, but all the cast are clearly at the top of their game.

The film is out in the US on December 16, though there’s no confirmed UK date yet.
