Cameron Diaz is set to star in Bobby Sue, as an ambulance-chasing lawyer for a big US firm. But don't worry: this isn't Erin Brockovich or The Firm, more Ally McBeal on the big screen by the sounds of things.

Diaz will play a "hard-charging female ambulance chaser" * who is chosen to be the face of a prestigious law firm when one of their most valued clients is hit with a sexual discrimination case. We're sure that hilarity thereafter ensues.

Russell Leigh Sharman, Owen Egerton and Chris Mass wrote the script, which is now being rewritten by Dana Fox (The Wedding Date, What Happens in Vegas - the latter of which of course starred Diaz). There's no word on a director yet, but we're sure that one will be found soon. In the meantime, keep an eye out for Diaz in My Sister's Keeper, out here on June 26.

*What, we're likely to get confused and think she's playing a male ambulance chaser?
