Bug Trailer Gets Under Your Skin

Exorcist director William Friedkin is dipping his toe back into the pool of psychological terror for the first time since 1990’s The Guardian.

And for his new trailer, he’s brought those twin bastions of horror – paranoid fears of bugs under the skin and Harry Connick Jr.

Bug offers exactly what it says on the tin – it’s the tale of Agnes (Ashley Judd), a waitress sleepwalking through life after a tragedy soured her marriage and left her constantly fearful of her abusive ex-husband (Connick Jr). She’s just barely making ends meet in a run-down motel when she finds a soul mate in the eccentric, but loving Peter (Michael Shannon). It looks like things are on the up until hubby shows up fresh from prison and the titular creatures invade the motel room. But are they real or just in Agnes and Peters’ heads?
