Brittany Murphy Checks Into White Hotel

Lovely mad old Brittany Murphy is in talks to topline The White Hotel, based on D.M. Thomas's acclaimed novel (it says here). If her talks lead to signing and then standing in front of camera, Murphy would play a WWI-era Viennese opera singer haunted by dreams of a white hotel. As any normal person would, she then turns to Sigmund Freud to decipher said dreams and finds that she can predict the future. There's probably an Electra complex in there somewhere too, cos he's Freud.

The film is being prepped for a spring shoot and will be written/directed by Simon Monjack.
