For now you know him better as Azamat, the Khazakstani producer of Borat's Cultural Learnings… documentary, but you'd better get used to calling him by his real name; Ken Davitian is going to be a star. Well, more like 'one of Hollywood's most respected character actors', as we're not quite sure he's going to give Clooney a run for his money in the pin-up stakes. Whatever - word has come through this week that Ken has signed on for his first proper role in a big Tinseltown acting gig, Get Smart.

He's bagged the role of a key agent for KAOS, the dastardly organisation who are locked in constant cold-war battle with agent Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) and the other members of CONTROL. The big screen adaptation of the Mel Brooks produced TV show also stars Anne Hathaway, Oscar winner Alan Arkin, The Rock and Terence Stamp.

Davitian comes as something of a late addition to the project, which has already started filming. **Get Smart **is scheduled for release in 2008.
