In the film, Ferrell and Jon Heder play rival champion figure skaters disqualified from the sport for fighting and, apparently, setting a mascot on fire. So how to regain their former glory? Team up of course! To become the world's first male figure skating pairing.
The trailer suggests that this has all the makings of being Ferrell's best comedy since Anchorman, although it looks like he might be outdone by Napoleon Dynamite's Heder. The sight of him flapping his 'wings' along the ice while dressed as a disco peacock may be the best thing we've seen in 2007. Then Arrested Development's Will Arnett showed up and so we wrote in our diary that today was a great day.
