Beckinsale Speaks Nothing But The Truth

There was a time when Rod Lurie was naught but a humble Empire writer – yes, really – but now the former film critic is all growns up and directing the stars. The man now better known for making The Last Castle and The Contender, rather than for calling Danny De Vito "a testicle with arms", is calling the shots on Nothing But The Truth.

The script, written by Lurie, is a drama about a newspaper journalist who outs a CIA agent in an article and is thrown in the clink for refusing to reveal her source.

Kate Beckinsale has signed on to play the journalist, Vera Farmiga (The Departed) is the CIA agent, Matt Dillon is the prosecutor, Edie Falco is the newspaper editor who published the story and Alan Alda will appear as Beckinsale's lawyer.
