Aniston Is Just Not That Into You

Believe it or not, readers, but this isn’t the first time that Empire has typed ‘Jennifer Aniston’ and ‘Just Not That Into You’ in the same sentence. And yes, she was gutted (Legal disclaimer: the previous claim is 100% untrue. Bah!).

Anyway, the former Friend – who is probably the only member of the cast of Friends who’s had such success since the show ended that you could conceivably write a story about her without referring to her as ‘the former Friend’ – has signed on to join a mouthwatering cast for a new romantic comedy, entitled He's Just Not That Into You.

And that cast so far includes Jennifer Connelly, Justin Long, Kevin Connolly (from Entourage), Drew Barrymore (who will also produce for New Line, with Ken Kwapis calling the shots) and Big Love’s Ginnifer Goodwin, all playing characters who flit in and out of a multi-story arc about the challenges of reading or misreading human behaviour. Sounds like a hoot.

Aniston will play a woman whose boyfriend will not commit to marriage in the Baltimore-set movie, which is based on a novel by Sex And The City alums Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who wrote Never Been Kissed for Barrymore, will write the screenplay.

So… Short Cuts with an injection of sunny side up rom-com values? Sounds like we could be into He's Just Not That Into You after all. (Legal disclaimer: that previous line was written by a buffoon. Please disregard.)
