2012's Orange Bafta Rising Star nominations were an all-male affair - namely Eddie Redmayne, Chris O'Dowd, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth and Adam Deacon - but 2013's newly renamed EE Bafta Rising Star has a shortlist with just one person of the male persuasion on it.
Congratulations, then, to Juno Temple, Andrea Riseborough, Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Vikander and Suraj Sharma, who will have to get their fanciest duds ready for the February 10 ceremony.
Unique among the Baftas, the EE Bafta Rising Star award is the only one to be voted for by the public alone, so if you want to have your say about who should win, be sure to head this way.
Previous winners include James McAvoy in 2006, Eva Green in 2007, Shia LaBeouf in 2008, Noel Clarke in 2009, Kristen Stewart in 2010, Tom Hardy in 2011 and Adam Deacon in 2012, though it's notable this year that no-one on the shortlist has a social media presence, which some observers have noted may have influenced previous wins.
