With Skyfall arriving on October 26, now is the last chance for a big publicity push. And it would seem that Eon and Sony are focused on the music at the moment. We’ve already had Adele’s theme released online and now comes the first preview of Thomas Newman’s score, which you can hear above courtesy of Cinema Musica.

Newman is taking over from previous multi-Bond scorer David Arnold, with Sam Mendes bringing in the composer he’s worked with on almost every film he’s made to date.

From the sounds of it, Newman has largely kept to the modern Arnold template with a mix of sounds and tones, albeit with more of his own style seeping through.

The soundtrack itself arrives on October 29, and if you want to see the track listing, head to Film Music Reporter. We would caution that some of the titles could conceivably be minor spoilers, though nothing quite as bad as those notorious Phantom Menace entries.

Finally, a new TV spot is also online, aimed at the US (where audiences have to be patient and wait until November 9). It’s really just a mash-up of bits we’ve seen in the trailers, but take a look anyway.
