The new issue of Empire, as well as bringing you the usual great features and reviews, has a plethora of exciting first-look tidbits from big names this month - among them Sam Raimi, talking about his first horror since Evil Dead II (and he says that even that was "only half a horror").

The film stars Alison Lohman as Christine, a bank worker ordered to evict an old woman from her house. "Christine has to make the choice as to whether she's going to impress her boss or let the old woman have the house. So she makes a bad moral choice and it makes this old woman more than angry. She becomes vengeful and puts a curse on the girl."

"There are shocks, gross-outs and sequences of suspense, and hopefully some laughs along the way," Raimi assures us.
