The joy of The Simple Life is that neither the ridiculously spoilt Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie strutting through cow dung like fledgling drag queens nor the rednecks with the dubious pleasure of employing them seem to be quite sure who the jokes on. Which means we can laugh at all of them.
