With a deservedly worthy reputation, and now head of a burgeoning TV franchise à la Star Trek, the Las Vegas-based CSI team breeze into their third year with a vast supply of corpses on which to ply their compellingly grim brand of mystery-solving via cutting-edge forensic medicine.
Like The X Files, the series maintains cinematic production values while the cast, particularly William Petersens increasingly-deaf Grissom, are as sharp as the autopsy knives.
