Alias: Season 3 Review

Alias: Season 3

Following the innovative and compelling second season, it’s disappointing to see complacency overshadow Alias’ third year. The show slips into a more formulaic arrangement, with Sydney (Jennifer Garner) returning to the CIA after a two-year, amnesic hiatus, and yet another sinister organisation rising to plot global anarchy. Hints about Sydney’s missing years add some mystery and cameos from Ricky Gervais, David Carradine and David Cronenberg are handled with relish, but, while still enjoyable, Season Three is a definite step back from previous accomplishments.
