We've already gotten one look at pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death, which focused mainly on Rhys Darby's gentleman pirate and featured little of Taika Waititi's more famous Blackbeard. He's much more front and centre in the latest trailer, which just sailed in.
Our Flag Means Death is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet (Darby), a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. His crew aren't exactly working with a full crow's nest and he's got some truly dangerous competition in the form of Blackbeard (Waititi), one of history's most feared pirates.
The show certainly stuffed the show full of funny people: Leslie Jones, Ewen Bremner, David Fane, Nat Faxon, Nathan Foad, Fred Armisen, Joel Fry, Rory Kinnear, Matt Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill and Vico Ortiz are all on board this one, which will debut across the pond on 3 March via HBO Max. we're still waiting to hear on which channel (if not one of the Sky offerings) it'll dock in the UK.
