Charting its own course through the ever-expanding Star Wars galaxy, The Bad Batch offered action, drama and thrills, with the added advantage of telling stories set between the trilogies with characters whose fates are not decided. The show itself has been officially confirmed for a third season – but it'll be the last.

The show, for the uninitiated, stars the heroes of Clone Force 99, an elite group of mutant clones who went rogue after the fall of the Republic and the establishment of the Empire. But Season 2 had a much wider focus, exploring the fate of the Empire's entire clone program.

Following – spoiler alert if you're somehow not caught up — the death of Tech at the end of Season 2, the new run of episodes will ramp up the emotional levels and the scope once again, as the team searches for the abducted Omega.

Footage from the new season was shown at this weekend's Star Wars Celebration, including a look at Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand, who will show up. The episodes are in production now, and will march on to Disney+ in 2024.
