The galaxy of Star Wars on the small screen via Disney+ continues to expand. A Mandalorian spin-off focused on Rosario Dawson's Jedi warrior Ahsoka Tano has been in the works for a while and is adding to its cast. Birds Of Prey's Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the latest person to jump aboard.

Star Wars: Ahsoka will focus on Dawson's live-action version of the Jedi who made her debut in the animated Wars shows. Plot details are, you'll be shocked to learn, being kept quiet, though there have been hints that the series will see her tracking down an Imperial nemesis.

Hayden Christensen is playing Anakin Skywalker (given her Ahsoka's history with him, we'd imagine he'll be seen in flashback and not as Darth Vader), while Natasha Liu Bordizzo is Sabine Wren (who, like Ahsoka originated in the animated realm), while Ivanna Sakhno is, like Winstead, playing a new, unknown character.

Dave Filoni is overseeing the show, and production should be kicking off in March.
