Season 1 of Netflix's twisty, Groundhog Day-ish Russian Doll was a delight, even if it did make your head feel like it had been sent through the spin cycle of a washing machine. That was all the way back in 2019, and we've had to wait for more, so it's thrilling to see that the show returns for a second season next month. Check out the new teaser...

Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop together, season two will continue to explore existential thematics through a humorous, sci-fi lens.

Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out... Yup, sounds good to us. Fire up the spin cycle!

With Lyonne in charge of much of the show again (though still working with the likes of Leslye Headland), Russian Doll will be back on our screens from 20 April.
