As Jodie Whittaker winds down her time playing The Doctor, the next Doctor Who special episode to feature her take on the character is approaching fast. Watch the trailer for Legend Of The Sea Devils.
This latest adventure takes the Doctor, Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) face to fin with one of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries: the Sea Devils. Why has legendary pirate queen Madam Ching (Crystal Yu) come searching for a lost treasure? What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the nineteenth century? And did Yaz really have to dress Dan up as a pirate?
With amended designs for the Sea Devils, new costumes for our heroes and a giant mystery about altered timelines, the episode also harkens back to the show's tradition of "Historical" episodes, with the scope and scale (flying pirate ships!) of the Chris Chibnall era.
Legend Of The Sea Devils will air on BBC One on 17 April.
