Even though the cameras have been rolling for a while on Marvel's Disney+ Ms. Marvel series, there is room for new cast additions. Laurel Marsden is aboard to play Zoe Zimmer.
Iman Vellani is playing the title character Marvel's first Muslim hero, as she navigates life in New Jersey, juggling her family, her faith and her powers. which include body morphing abilities. First appearing in 2014, she's become a popular character and after the show, she'll make the leap to the big screen, appearing in theCaptain Marvelsequel.
Marsden, who has Quibi series Survive on her CV, is on to be Zimmer, something of frenemy to Ms. Marvel; a popular girl at Coles Academic High, the superhero first saves her in the Hudson River. Zimmer dates the school’s 'it' athlete Josh Richardson. She made her debut in 2014’s Ms. Marvel No. 3 from writer Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona.
With Bisha K. Ali running the show and a directing team that includes Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon, Ms. Marvel will hit Disney+ later this year.
