Live-Action GI Joe Lady Jaye Series In The Works

GI Joe Lady Jaye

Keen to keep expanding its G.I. Joe brand, Paramount is spinning off the Lady Jaye character into a TV series.

The live-action show will follow new adventures for the undercover agent, who first appeared in the 1984 animated series and was brought to cinema screens in G.I. Joe: Retaliation by Adrianne Palicki (though we'd expect the show to cast someone new). And while it'll be a standalone series, it will connect to the wider Joe universe. Erik Oleson, who has experience with shows such as Daredevil, The Man In The High Castle and the upcoming second season of Carnival Row, will run the series.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of this one is that the studio isn't targeting it for newly rebranded streaming service Paramount+, but will instead station the series at Amazon.
