Aside from George Lucas and some of his cast, perhaps the person most closely associated with Star Wars is legendary composer John Williams. It's reassuring to know, then, that he's been busy writing a new theme for Lucasfilm's Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Though he won't be composing the specific episodes scores (the main composer has yet to be announced), Williams has, according to Variety, already recorded his theme in Los Angeles.
It represents a rare TV theme for the venerable composer, who shows little sign of slowing down despite turning 90 earlier this month. He's been busy working on music for regular collaborator Steven Spielberg, composing on semi-autobiographical drama The Fabelmans, which Spielberg has directed, and Indiana Jones 5, which he produced (and James Mangold is directing). Add to that, he has an extensive schedule of conducting orchestras around the world.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, which follows Ewan McGregor's Jedi master around a decade after the events of Revenge Of The Sith, will launch on Disney+ on 25 May.
