If you thought Ruby Sunday's (Millie Gibson) declaration that one of the situations she and The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) find themselves in for Doctor Who's new season is "so Bridgerton" was the only reference to the Netflix period romp, you would be mistaken. Because Queen Charlotte herself, Golda Rosheuvel, is also among the guest stars for the new season.

Rosheuvel will appear in the first episode of the latest run, playing a character named Jocelyn who collides with our dynamic duo. "It’s been amazing to see the whole world appreciate Golda’s talents, because of Bridgerton, and it’s been an absolute joy to invite her to Cardiff to help launch Ncuti and Millie’s first season," says showrunner Russell T. Davies.

And that's not the only news to break from the show. We also now know the episode titles for the whole of the new season. Davies has written the lion's share of the episodes, with a returning Steven Moffat penning one and Loki veteran Kate Herron crafting another alongside regular writing partner Briony Redman.

Here's the list:

Space Babies: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Julie Anne Robinson

The Devil’s Chord: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Ben Chessell

Boom: Written by Steven Moffat, directed by Julie Anne Robinson

73 Yards: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes Williams

Dot And Bubble: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes Williams

Rogue: Written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman, directed by Ben Chessell

The Legend Of Ruby Sunday: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Jamie Donoughue

Empire Of Death: Written by Russell T. Davies, directed by Jamie Donoughue

Finally, a new trailer for the season has also landed and you can see it below:

Doctor Who will return with the first two episodes of the new run featuring Gatwa and Gibson landing on the iPlayer at midnight on 11 May ahead of their airing on that evening on BBC One.

Viewers outside Britain will see the show launch on Disney+ simultaneously (so, say, 7pm on 10 May on the East Coast of the States and 4pm on the West Coast). One episode will follow weekly at the same time around the world.
