Feted by Sundance audiences and nominated for the festivals' Grand Jury prize, rapper-turned-writer/director Boots Riley's stylish satire Sorry To Bother You has been making waves ever since. The new, red band trailer allows it to show off more of its humour and edge.

Lakeith Stanfield is Cassius, a young black man living in a parallel version of Oakland who gets a job in a telemarketing company. He soon finds success when adopting a ‘white voice’ to talk to customers, earning ever-greater sums and getting drawn further into the company thanks to his magical ability and getting fast-tracked as a ‘power-caller’. But while it helps his ambitions, it starts to alienate those around him, including activist artist girlfriend Detroit (Tessa Thompson).

Terry Crews, Danny Glover and Armie Hammer are also all part of the cast and Sorry To Bother You will be out in the States on 6 July for a limited release before going wider on 13 July. Frustratingly, there's no sign of a UK date yet, but we're hoping that situation will change, and attendees at this year's Sundance London event should get a chance to see it.
