In order to deliver what he's been promising is the Avengers to the first film's Captain America, co-writer/director Matthew Vaughn has a stew of new elements to add to the Kingsman universe for the second movie, The Golden Circle. See some of them in the new trailer...
We're now less than a month away from the launch of the sequel, which finds Taron Egerton's Gary "Eggsy" Unwin well and truly settled into his role as one of the Kingsmen, elite secret agents. But when everything he knows is put under threat, he, plus gadget expert Merlin (Mark Strong) will have to make contact with their American equivalents, the Statesmen.
Cue a serious clash of operational procedures (and the chance for some good natured ribbing: check out Eggy's "skipping rope" snark above), plus Vaughn rounding up some top American talent to fill out the cast, including Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal and Jeff Bridges. Finally, there is a return from someone whose re-entry into the story is more interesting than the fact that he's back...
Oh, and because The Golden Circle's title ties in nicely with this week's eclipse, there's a fun new promotional video.
