Creative (and married) duo Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone have cranked out a fair few comedies in the last few years, with the latest, Life Of The Party. They've been hit-and-miss affairs, but they succeed enough for the pair to keep making them. Now they'll team up again for Super Intelligence.
Not, as you might suspect, a spy pic (McCarthy, after all, has already trod that territory with, well, Spy), it's an action comedy that will see the star as Carol Peters, a former corporate executive who lives an unfulfilled life. That's turned upside down when she's somehow selected for observation by the world's first super intelligence, an artificial intelligence that may end up taking over the world.
The script comes from Steve Mallory, who co-wrote The Boss with the pair, and Falcone will direct as usual. Life Of The Party, meanwhile, arrives here on 11 May.
