Though Matthew Vaughn usually directs scripts he writes (or co-writes) these days, he does have a history of making movies from other scriptwriters' work. He's now considering producing and directing Karl Gajdusek's spec script Courage.

20th Century Fox, for whom Vaughn recently made Kingsman: The Golden Circle, bought the rights to the script back in June. So far, the studio is not revealing anything concrete about the story or concept, but it's being described as an epic action sci-fi drama in the vein of Inception or Edge Of Tomorrow.

Gajdusek knows a little something about big concepts, as he's one of the main writer/producers on Stranger Things and he was one of the writers for Oblivion.

Vaughn has several potential movies floating around, including a potential next Kingsman entry (provided he finds the right idea), and he's long been flirting with the idea of a new Flash Gordon.
