Busy day for news from the Blunt/Krasinski household. With Emily Blunt announced as joining Jungle Cruise, here comes the latest look at her other half as Jack Ryan in Amazon's new TV take on the character.

Getting ahead of others hitting the airwaves during the Super Bowl game in the States this Sunday, Amazon has debuted the spot online. Soundtracked to both a cover of Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower blended with speeches by presidents through the years, it's another chance to see Krasinski in action.

Based as ever on the Tom Clancy character that has been portrayed several times on the big screen, this time we've a small screen version handled by former Lost co-showrunner Carlton Cuse, who teams up with another veteran of the island, writer/producer Graham Roland (a former Marine). They haven't directly adapted any of Clancy’s books, but will instead showcase the character as a CIA agent/analyst in the present day.

We also now know when the show will hit Amazon's streaming video service, as the company has announced a 31 August launch date for the first season.
