We brought news a few days ago of Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Antony Russo setting up a new project for them to tackle once they've finished dealing with Iron Man and co. But thanks to their studio company AGBO, they can also get other movies made. Case in point: kidnap drama Dhaka, which will star Chris Hemsworth, originally talked up on the Empire Podcast.
Sam Hargrave, who has spent a lot of his career as a stuntman making the likes of Chris Evans look good in the Avengers movies and more recently graduated to stunt coordination and second unit directing on films such as Infinity War and Atomic Blonde, will make his directorial debut with the film. Hemsworth will play a man who, despite his physical abilities, is an emotional coward and must face his issues when he's assigned to liberate a kidnapped Indian boy.
Joe Russo wrote the script, and he and his brother have set up a deal with Netflix to distribute the movie, and Hargrave will get the cameras rolling in India and Thailand as soon as all the pieces are in place.
The untitled follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War is now in post-production and arrives on 26 April next year.
