Rian Johnson already has Daniel Craig attached to star in his next film, murder mystery Knives Out. He's going into full Ambassador-you-are-spoiling-us mode by casting Chris Evans.

Deadline reports that Evans is working out a deal to co-star in the film, which is being described as a contemporary whodunnit but beyond that, is mostly under wraps. Johnson aims to have the cameras cranking this year, taking advantage of Craig's open schedule before the delayed Bond 25. It'll also serve as something of a palette cleanser after the long haul journey making The Last Jedi and before he dives into his own Star Wars movies.

But there is one other piece of Evans news to report today, one that explains his willingness to take on other big roles and likely to give many, including our Helen, a case of The Serious Feels. Marking the end of shooting on Avengers 4, he posted an update strongly hinting that he's hanging up the shield for good. More on that over here.
